“Das Hotel befindet sich in Batu Ferringhi, eine Stadt im Norden von Penang. Die Fahrt vom Flughafen dauert je nach Verkehrslage/Uhrzeit 1 bis 1,5 Stunden. In der Stadt gibt es jeden Abend einen Night Market, der vor allem am Wochenende auch gerne von den Locals besucht wird, was zu entsprechenden Staus führt. In der fußläufigen Umgebung gibt es viele verschiedene Essensmöglichkeiten. Die Unterkunft ist sehr stivoll (indisch geprägt) eingerichtet und ist sehr sauber. Auch die vorhandenen Pools...

“We stayed at the golden sands by shangri-la in penang 5th to 8th of july. We had a beach /pool facing room which i would strongly recommend. Rooms are spacious and clean, buffet breakfast had a wide variety of food, plenty of pool activities and areas of entertainment for kids,I would highly recommend this hotel to any type of visitor ”

“I planned to stay for 2 nights but extended to 3 rd night , hopefully with a discounted rate on a Monday but not given, Stayed anyway due to Comfort , beautiful beach area , surrounding, bar was great too. Room 1614 was cozy & clean.”

“Had a 3 bedroom suite on the top floor with beautiful see views. Very well set out with kitchen and a spacious lounge. The is a laundry which you can purchase tokens for at reception and a store with most essentials next to reception. The location is right on the beach with a good size infinity pool and gym on the 7th floor. There are drinking and eating options all around as well as a large mall with a supermarket 10 minutes walk away. Fantastic place we couldn't fault it.”

“Sehr schöne Anlage, wundervolle friedliche Atmosphäre und mit viel Liebe gestaltetes Hotel. Für Ruhesuchende ideal zum entspannen. Wunderschöne Zimmer und alles hat funktioniert. Leider sehr harte Kissen und Matratze. Lage ein wenig isoliert, keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fussläufig, man ist auf Taxi/Grab angewiesen. Nach Georgetown mit Grab ca 20-30 min. Zu Fuss an Hauptstrasse ohne Trotzoir zu gefährlich. 5min mit Grab wunderbare Rotis und Dosas, visavis vom Hudson Deli.”
